Creating inclusive environments where every learner succeeds.
During my tenure at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, I led the Computer Science department, ensuring excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities. I supported teachers in integrating technology into subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. My teaching responsibilities included Computer Science concepts, C++ programming, MS Office, web development, and animation tools for Aga Khan University Examination Board and Karachi Board curricula. As Examination Incharge, I managed exam schedules, resources, and operations. I prepared students for certifications like MOS, IBIC, and ISEF, organized science exhibitions, and conducted workshops on technology integration and skill development. Additionally, I contributed to ICT syllabus development, teaching methodologies, and resource creation.
At International Schools in Oman like PSM, MIS and MISA, I focused on delivering well-structured lessons tailored to meet the diverse abilities of students while adhering to the Cambridge curriculum. I create an engaging and stimulating classroom environment that inspires students to achieve their full potential and develop a genuine enthusiasm for Computer Science and ICT. Collaborating with the Head of Department and support teams, I address individual student needs, including those with special educational or pastoral challenges. I maintain high standards of behavior and organization, ensuring a positive and proactive learning culture. Additionally, I set relevant homework, assess student progress rigorously, and communicate effectively with parents through meetings, reports, and other channels. Punctuality, resource management, and adherence to school policies are integral to my role, along with contributing to the broader goals of the institution as needed by the leadership team.
I have been honored with a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding teaching performance by AKESP (2017-2018) and a Certificate of Appreciation for my dedication to online education during the Covid-19 pandemic. I mentored the research project "Mind Talk," which won at the national level and earned an invitation to the prestigious Regeneron ISEF international competition in Anaheim, California (2020). Additionally, I guided students in the Shaukat Khanum Provincial and National Science Fair (2017-2018) and the Intel Sindh Science Fair (2014-2015). My mentorship extended to preparing students for the International Bebras Informatics Contest (IBIC) 2017 and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification (2015). I also conducted workshops on ADVON Robotics (2017-2018) and supported Computer Science projects for the Intel National Science Fair (2016), showcasing my commitment to fostering innovation and excellence among students.
I have organized and conducted comprehensive in-house workshops designed to equip teachers with practical skills and knowledge in utilizing modern educational tools and technologies. These sessions covered the effective use of Interactive Whiteboards for dynamic classroom presentations, MS Quiz and MS Classroom for managing assignments and assessments, and Google Blogs for fostering creative writing and collaboration. I also trained educators on Movie Maker to create engaging multimedia content, as well as virtual teaching platforms like Zoom and Google Meet to facilitate seamless online instruction. These workshops aimed to enhance teaching methodologies, ensuring that educators could integrate technology effectively to create interactive and student-centered learning experiences.
